    Chavo asked for his release

I can agree with a majority of what he is saying. I mean, I think Vince really liked Eddie...but he didn't really give him a main event push for long. And Chavo...I think the best time for him to have been pushed would have been right after Eddie's death, sad to say. And instead it was used to push...Rey, Vickie...and of course Orton because everything under the sun had failed up to that point with him.

But...I gotta be honest. I just don't think Chavo was main event quality.

Interesting. I'm not a wrestling watcher but the WWE's statement seems a little short. :P

It's for the best, he wouldn't ever get a real push in WWE, he'd be better off in a more luchadore-friendly environment

just hope he avoids TNA like the plague, I hate to imagine what they would do to him

Chavo will turn 41 in October. He's been relatively injury free for most of his career.I think he got a lot of backstage heat recently for his matches with Sin Cara.I wonder if this played into his release any?
